Our Fish & Shellfish
The Dog and Fox champion the British Skippers Scheme which aims to ensure the fishermen get a fair price for their fish, while our chef gets unique access to the best of their catch - responsibly caught, premium quality product, with full provenance and traceability.
Our Beef
Southern Pride Beef is selected from assured farms in Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Somerset, Surrey, West Sussex and Wiltshire using traditional farming and finishing methods. All our animals are rested overnight with fresh bedding and water, which further enhances the product and ultimately the eating quality. Southern Pride Beef carries the EBLEX Quality Standard Mark, which confirms that the beef supply chain is fully assured and independently inspected at every stage from farm to plate.
Our Venison
As a nominated stockist of Highland Game's wild Scottish venison we are proud to offer a product, which is exclusively selected and quality assured with full traceability. Sourced from deer that have been allowed to roam wild in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, completely free-range and as organic as only wild produce can be.
Our Lamb
Our lamb is hand selected from farms in the South West. Using traditional farming methods and the highest welfare standards the lamb is left to graze naturally on and among the lush, green pastures. The quality of the final product is ensured by avoiding stress in the animals and by hanging the meat for the optimum time. The proof is in a consistently high quality product with fantastic taste, texture and tenderness.
Our Pork
Pork is produced on farms adhering to the Assured British Pigs standard. These standards ensure that the pigs have been produced in high animal welfare conditions and have received a natural diet and free access to running water. Our butchers have specifically chosen pigs from farms in the South West (Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Somerset and Wiltshire) for Southern Pride bacon, cooked meats and our fresh sausages.
Our Poultry
Our Southern Pride Poultry is sourced from farms in the West Country. Animal welfare and feed assurance standards are maintained to the highest levels. Environmental awareness and preservation as well as full traceability are adhered to throughout the supply chain.
